Our team took great care to handle excess soil and prepare the area for the pool installation. Erosion control measures were implemented to safeguard the integrity of the landscape.

Nurturing the Ground: Topsoil, Seed, and Straw

To nurture the land, we brought in high-quality shredded topsoil, which was meticulously spread across the area. We estimated the need for approximately 75 yards of topsoil to achieve the desired grades and repair any damaged yard areas. Additionally, we applied grass seed, straw, and starter fertilizer to promote lush growth.

Landscape Design: Bringing Your Vision to Life

Our licensed landscape architect plays a crucial role in this project. His expertise ensured that the landscape design perfectly complemented the pool area. We focused on the rear and pool-side landscape beds, incorporating privacy trees and plant materials. These beds received a fresh layer of mulch and enriched compost soil for optimal growth conditions.

Efficient Irrigation: Drip Irrigation System

For efficient watering, we installed a battery-operated drip irrigation system. This system runs along the back edge of the paver patio, allowing homeowners to easily care for their plants with planter pots.

Managing Water Drainage: Gravel and Catch Basin

Proper water management is essential in any landscape. We installed gravel in strategic areas to help drain excess water away from the pool area. Additionally, a catch basin and strip drain tile were installed on the upper side of the deck patio to ensure efficient water flow.

Hardscaping Marvels: Retaining Walls and Pool Decking

The hardscaping elements in this project truly make a statement. We used Allen Block Classic Hickory for retaining walls on the east side and near the pool. These walls serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, offering stability and visual appeal.

The pool decking is equally impressive, featuring Unilock enduracolor pavers with an accent border. A concrete bonding beam was poured around the pool, providing structural support and a seamless edge.

Gather Around: Fire Pit and Seat Wall

To create a cozy gathering spot, we incorporated a Unilock Brussels block seat wall with a double-sided wall stone and an inlay border. The fire pit area is perfect for chilly evenings outdoors.

Illuminating the Night: LED Lighting

Enhancing the ambiance of the outdoor space, we installed a comprehensive LED lighting system. This system includes a mix of well, spot, and path lights, all controlled for convenience. For added charm, under-capstone lights were installed on the main retaining wall.

Additional Elements: Electrical Service and Fencing

We also prepared for electrical service to connect to the house and the new pool. Furthermore, a basic black aluminum pool fence was installed for safety and aesthetics.
