Landscape Collaboration with Red Rock Builders, East Side of Cincinnati
Our team has been hard at work with Red Rock Builders on a landscape collaboration project on the east side of Cincinnati. The project, which is currently in progress, will enhance the property’s aesthetics and functionality through meticulous planning and execution.
Precision Retaining Walls:
The focal point of the project is the installation of multiple retaining walls. Spanning over 2000 face feet, these walls will be placed around the garage, backyard, and pool area. Using Allen Block materials, the walls will be built to exact specification.
Limestone Base:
Each wall is set on a crushed limestone base with geo GRID installed every two rows for stability and proper drainage. Backfilling with 1″ limestone gravel and installing corrugated pipes with weep holes ensures effective drainage behind the walls.
Hardscaping Elements:
In addition to retaining walls, the project incorporates the construction of hardscaping elements. These include lower and upper driveway side walls, upper house back hillside walls, upper poolside backyard walls, and the main lower back yard retaining wall near the pool. The AB Classic wall materials were chosen for their durability and ability to blend with the landscape.
Site Preparation and Grading:
General sitework, excavation, and final grading are done to ensure a level surface and proper soil levels. Attention to detail was given to backfilling behind walls and preparing landscape beds for builder and county approval.
Collaboration and Planning for Future Enhancements:
Throughout the project, collaboration between Red Rock Builders Ohio and Upscale Lawn Care has been crucial. Clear communication and coordination has ensured that the project has stayed on track and met deadlines. Additionally, provisions were made for future enhancements such as irrigation and lighting. This lays the groundwork for additional improvements to the property’s outdoor spaces.
